Moreover, the holy spinel also has diuretic, laxative, depurative, anti-infectious action and it can also be used to combat acne eczema and scarring. This plant is also a home remedy for cancer due to its analgesic and antitumor properties.

How to use

The Holy Spinel can be used in several ways:

1. Spine-santa tea

The part of the plant used in the tea are the leaves, and are used as follows:

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon dried leaves of silet tree
  • 1 cup boiling water

Preparation mode: Add the leaves of spine-santa to the boiling water, cover and let stand for about 10 minutes. Sieve and take it warm. It is advisable to take this tea 3 times a day, fasting, or about half an hour before meals.

This tea is effective against gastritis as it reduces acidity in the stomach.

2. Santa Spinel Capsules

Santa Spinel capsules can be found in pharmacies in a dose of 380mg of dry Extract of Maytenus ilicifolia. The usual dose is 2 capsules, taken 3 times a day, before main meals.

3. Hot Spine-Santa Compresses

For skin problems such as eczema, scarring or acne, hot compresses containing Santa Spinel tea can be applied directly on the lesion.

Contraindications of the Spine-santa

The Holy Spinel should not be taken by people who are allergic to this plant. It should also not be consumed during pregnancy as it may cause abortion. Women who are breastfeeding should also not take it as it causes a decrease in the amount of breast milk available. It should also not be consumed by children under the age of 12 years.
